Special Day at the Ranch With Tiger Mountain Recovery for Women

Last Wednesday was a special day at the ranch! Clinton met members of Tiger Mountain Recovery for Women, a program in Oklahoma that focuses on residential addiction treatment for women. One of the program’s keys to success is its use of horses to help its residents through recovery. Sharon Glidden, founding president, is a longtime follower of Downunder Horsemanship and uses the Method to train her horses. On Wednesday, Sharon, along with Rose Fields, founding vice president, and Katie, Bethany and Gracie, met Clinton at the ranch for a special surprise. Clinton arranged to gift the program, Danny, a gentle Quarter Horse gelding, to help its residents.

“I became aware that Tiger Mountain Recovery uses the Method in their program this spring. The more I learned about the program, the more I admired their work and the positive impact they make in women’s lives,” Clinton says. “It’s an honor that the Method is used in the program, and I wanted to help. Danny is a perfect fit for them – he’s quiet, well-trained and easygoing.”

Clinton and all of us at Downunder Horsemanship wish Tiger Mountain Recovery for Women all the best and know that Danny will be a great asset to the program!
