First Up, Buckeye, Arizona

The first Walkabout Tour of the year finds us in Buckeye, Arizona at the South Buckeye Equestrian Center, February 2nd and 3rd. Highlights of the weekend include:

  • An unstarted horse is invited to the tour for Clinton to demonstrate his colt-starting process. Clinton will explain how to start the Method with a horse and why earning a horse’s respect is the crucial first step to an enjoyable, safe partnership.
  • Riding one of his performance horses, Clinton explains how he advances a horse’s training and starts pointing a horse towards a specific discipline.
  • Often the most entertaining training demo of the weekend, Clinton works with a horse that has a severe trailer-loading problem. He starts the demo by showing the audience what not to do, or in other words, what each of us has tried to do with a horse that refuses to step in a trailer in the past. Using Approach and Retreat, Clinton has the horse loading himself on the trailer by the end of the demo.
  • You’ll learn how to introduce your horse to obstacles and what to do when you encounter scary situations on the trail in the Training on the Trail demonstration.
  • Advanced training sessions showcase how far the Method can take the partnership you share with your horse on the ground and under saddle.
  • Over $9,000 in prizes and giveaways are up for grabs from Downunder Horsemanship and our team of sponsors!
  • Audience members have the opportunity to support a great cause and take part in the Ritchie Charity Ball Toss. Clinton and feature sponsor Ritchie Industries are teaming up to help TRAK, a local nonprofit raise funds for their cause. Be sure to visit TRAK’s booth and purchase a tennis ball or two for your chance to win incredible prizes, including a complete collection of Clinton’s videos, a mecate set and more!

Detailed information about the event can be found on our website. Tickets to the event may be purchased on the Downunder Horsemanship website or by calling the office 888-287-7432. Tickets are $25/weekend. No Worries Club members, remember to take advantage of your free tickets!
