Find It on the No Worries Club Website: Young Horse With Young Handler

When Clinton saw video clips of 14-year-old Renee Pope working with her weanling, Kit, he knew he was looking at a horsewoman with a bright future. Renee took Kit on as a project for the American Quarter Horse Association Ranching Heritage Young Horse Development Program, and she used the Foal Training Series to train the filly. Clinton invited Renee and Kit to the ranch, and the February 2014 No Worries Club video “The Right Start” captures the two working with Kit.

“While Renee had made great progress with Kit up to that point, she’d also met some challenges with some of the exercises. We sort through their setbacks, and then I test them further. Renee’s passion for horsemanship and for Kit is infectious, and the two finish the lesson with an even stronger partnership. If you’re working with a young horse or looking for some tips to brush up your groundwork, this video is a valuable resource for your library,” Clinton says.

Watch the training session now by logging on to the No Worries Club website or the Downunder Horsemanship app and going to the NWC Video section and searching for “The Right Start.”
